damn, can't believe it's true...
someone actually went into the legendary
Jam Master Jay's studio and shot him in the head.
My boyfriend told me about it today. Damn this world is
so crazy! check out the story here.

Jam Master Jay and the music of Run DMC
are one of the symbols of my jr. high/high school
days...growin' up pinoy in this suburb of the bay area.
Whenever we had a school dance or some kind of event
where music was involved, all the D.J.'s would:

1. almost always be Pilipino and
2. be playin' Run DMC's songs

In fact, even now when we dance at weddings/parties,
that song w/ 'Peter Piper' is like GOLD when you hear it.
You can hear everyone on the floor yelling, "awww yeaaaa!" when the song comes up
and then bust out with old school routines til' ya can't remember anymore moves. ;)

wow...such a tragedy.
