sluggish and dry-eyed
I could barely open my eyes this morning.
I'm not sure exactly why I was so butt-tired.
I still am.
'feeling a lot of tension in my shoulders and back, and neck.
and my stupid eye lids are all dry again.
I hate that.
the cloud that hangs over me during the work week is back.
this time i'm all alone under it.
everyone else was out today.
It's not too bad really. I'm over exaggerating for the most part.
But I must say it was a lovely week last week without the darkness.
cuteness is
...watching my boyfriend sew
a hole in his pants pocket,
espcially when he's using wayy too much thread.
there's something irresistable about a man who's not
afraid to be domestic.
sunshine
it's a beautfiful day again.
I really wish I could be outside right now
instead of being under these bright-ass flourescent lights
that blind me.
I headed over to College Ave. to sit at the sushi boat table
at Isobune restaurant and pick at the yummy dishes floating by.
I decided to only have 3 little dishes today:
- a hand roll with crab, avocado and unagi
- a shrimp tempura roll
- and a mackerel nigiri (mm...tastes just like the to-yo that my dad fries for breakfast)
Then, walked next door to Zachary's pizza for a bottle of Stewarts root beer...
the good stuff.
That area of Oakland is great to be on a day like this.
I walked along college with the cold bottle
in my hands and the sun shining on my head.
All I needed was a floppy pair of tsinelas and a pair of shorts
and the day would have been complete.
I probably should've ran for 15 minutes during lunch, but
I just had this urge to get as far away from my office as possible...
if only for a mere 40 minutes.
it pays to sit and wait
it was a slow night again at the spa.
I was basically the only person there who could provide a service.
All the stylists, colorist, estheticians - everyone - was gone. out.
It was basically just me and 2 of the management team.
While I waited, I sat and ate some snacks that I brought in
with one of my co-workers,
cleaned up the linen closet (which is always a at mess),
made sure all the treatment rooms ad everything they needed,
and when there was literally nothing else left,
I helped myself to 20 minutes on the hydro massage bed.
Boy did THAT help!
Then, after 20 minutes of messing around with some of
the massage remote, my boss told me that I had a client
coming any time now.
COOL!
And once again, I got a really nice, positive client.
After that session, I sat and ate some of the snacks I brought
while I waited for other possible clients.
No one came around, but at least i had one.
