you've gotta watch it...dunno if it's still
playing on HBO, but the whole mini-series
is on DVD...10 episodes on 5 DVDs. It's a true story.
over the last 2 weeks, my boyfriend and I have been watching it.
and tonight, we finished the last 2 episodes.

there's so much to write about it...
so many thoughts going through my head...my heart.
I seem to continuously forget the many sacrifices that
people before us have made.
..so that I can be
...so that I can live
...so that I can have the opportunity to do and be whoever I want to be.

'makes me realize how much more I need to do...
how much more I need to contribute to the community.
in this last year, I was able to have a lot of time for myself.
I realize now that it is time to move on, to give time
to the things and people that need it.

the story of the band of brothers
was told so well.
from different perspectives,
with so much attention to the details.
details...this is so important in re-telling history, in re-telling tragedies...
it is what enables us to come as close as we can to grasping what happened
without being there to experience it.
