just got back from having lunch at the Mexican restaurant by my house.
before that i decided to speed-walk around the neighborhood.
my legs have been itching for some exercise.

I was the only customer in the restaurant as I had expected.
because of the economy, business has been like a rollercoaster, according to the owner.
In fact, he was the only one working at the time I came in.
He was the one who actually prepared my food for me.

I ordered a combo plate with a chicken enchilada, beef taco, rice and beans.
all of it was GOOD!!!! wow, especially the taco.
'think we might order some of that to serve at our x-mas party.

as i was sitting there enjoying my meal, two families came in for lunch.
one family was made up of a father and son
and the other was mother and son...
it was a comfort to watch them interact with one another.
both sons talked to their parents openly.
parent-child relationships like that are so rare these days....
