better day today
just got back from hanging out with my parents.
I drove into the city to meet up with them at this Title company. I had to be
there to sign some paperwork for their house re-financing thingy. geez, LOTS
of paperwork!

Afterwards, my dad called his boss and basically lied to him so that
he could play hooky the rest of the day...it's cool when your parents do that.
'makes them look a little more human. ;)
So....we had breakfast at McDonald's and walked around Ikea...my dad
had never been to the one here in the Bay Area, so he wanted to take a trip there.

My dad's funny. Of all the loads of things sold at Ikea, what was my dad's first purchase at this location?:

SCENTED CANDLES - mulberry scent
(he bought 10 @ $0.95 each)!!!!!

He's grown quite a liking to scented candles because it helps to make the house smell better after he's
fried a boat-load of tuyo or da-ing (smoked fish and dried fish, respectively) for breakfast.
When he saw the bargain, he was like, "you know, at Alberrrrtsoons (aka "Albertsons" - grocery store)
these candels are $3...expensib! It's better here."
hehehehehe!
THAT's my dad! comedy...non-stop comedy. ;)

Thank goodness my mom was in a good mood today, too.
I haven't seen them in almost a month, so it's always great when I get them when
they are happy and chipper....yup, no ulcers for me today! ;)
Seriously, though, it was fun. 'definitely made my day.

another guinea pig
So tonight, I'll be practicing massage on one of my pregnant friends.
We had to cancel last week, so we've re-scheduled for tonight.
I'm also gonna take some time to give her and her husband some tips
on how to ease her labor pains when it is TIME. I learned quite a bit
in my pregnancy massage certification class, so I'm excited to share
it with the people who need it most.

it's getting cloudier as i type. looks like a storm will be coming in starting tomorrow.
damn. I guess that means summer really IS over. :(
oh well, at least I've got an excuse to go shopping for clothes again. :)

'til later...
