I found it!
Mrs. Field's Mint flavored hot chocolate!
Yay!
'Was grocery shopping today and I found it when I
picked up the regular Mrs. Field's hot cocoa, my bf's and my favorite.
'didn't know they had all kinds of flavors, which also included rasberry and white chocolate.
and unlike the fat tin they sell of peppermint hot cocoa at Williams Sonoma for $16.99,
this smaller tub only costs $5!
so, Olivia, if you're reading, you can stock up
at your local Albertsons for your trip back to NY!

still looking
typed up a resume and cover letter today for a job at
a really cool foundation.
Their focus is in funding projects that revolve around peace and world order,
the environment and social justice.

it seems like a pretty down organization.
their main thing is in preserving peace and preventing
the social, economical and environmental ills that lead to conflict/war.
reading their mission/vision got my blood pumping.
stuff like that always does.
'reminds me that my heart and time belongs in the social welfare world.

I actually hand delivered my resume and cover letter....right into the
hands of the woman that would be interviewing me!
It was a very small, quiet office with a very small staff...at least it looked like it.
and the woman was very nice and cordial.
but...I guess I was still way too sick to be thinking clearly, cause
when she introduced herself, it didn't even click that she was the woman who I
addressed my cover letter to! hence, i didn't really react surprised, which I should have...
hell....I even forgot to introduce myself!
she was like, "and you are Melissa?" after she introduced herself.
Good god! I dunno what idiot spell came over me today!!!!!

spam sushi and catching up
but, at least the rest of the day went better.
my cousin came by to spend time with me.
it's her winter break from grad school in Columbia.

she was already at my place before i came back, and
was preparing some spam sushi.
there's actually a name for it, but I forgot.
she had a cool sushi-maker...one of those gadgets from TV infommercials.
It was really neat, though! 'definitely made it easy to make the rolled sushi.

However, i think rolling it in the mat is just as easy.
I finally opened my sushi mat...'bought it years ago, but
been too chicken to use it.
I finally did today, and boy is it easy!
hahaha...guess what i'll be serving at next year's x-mas party! ;)

'spent the rest of the evening catching up...
bitching about how Columbia's graduate program in Social Welfare is soooo
not diverse and
going over how there are so many people we know of going to school there
and how the degrees of seperation between them are oh so small!!!
we also watched "can't hardly wait" as well as must see TV.

It's really great to be able to spend time with her.
I miss having her for a roommate.

work
I also checked my answering machine and found a nice little
message from my temp agency...they've got an assignment for me. yay!
work! money! damn do i need money!

will call them back tomorrow. I hope it pays well.
