massage
...I soooo need one right now!
I ended up leaning against one of my bed posts and
getting my deep tissue massage that way.
I swear, my upper back is killing me!
I would've used a tennis ball like I always do, but I seemed to have
lost the one I always use.
This is actually a great way to massage your back.
Just take one tennis ball,
put it on the floor,
lie on top of it and roll around to get the appropriate massage effect.
I swear, this works!
One time I had a really tight upper back.
I did the above massage for a good 30 minutes and I was
back to normal.
I learned from my aunt.
Actually, her chiropractor instructed her to put 2 tennis balls
in a tube sock, with the end and middle of the sock tied together locking the balls in their own little compartment.
Then, placing it on the wall and leaning against it moving in an up and down motion.
I tried that once but found that putting the ball on the floor works much better.
I actually recommend this method to my clients all the time.
hmmm...my upper back is actually feeling a little looser now.
almost out of the trenches
so I think I will be back to being 100% by tomorrow.
I'm definitely feeling a lot better.
'took a 3 hour nap after typing my first blog entry this morning.
and boy was I out like a light!
There was a point where I was trying to change sleeping positions
and I literally couldn't cause my body felt like it was buried under sand bags!
Nevertheless, I eventually forced myself to wake up and
even managed to send out a cover letter and resume to a potential employer.
'been watching TV again ever since.
I really enjoy watching that Food Network show, "30 minute meals".
Also, 'been watching VH1's "Where Are They Now? - Video Vixens". Quite intriguing!
I'm always curious about what happened to folks.
Oh and I found out that Jennifer ____ (the one who was in "A Beautiful Mind")
was actually in Duran Duran's "Union of the Snake" video when she was thirteen.
Ok, and this is of remote interest to me only because I was one of the BIGGEST
Duran Duran fans back then. YOu would call me a "Duranie". hehehe! I was SUCH the teeny bopper!
(ok, can I just say again how I LUV smilies?!)
my guardian angel
anyhoo, I forgot to mention that if it weren't for my bf taking care of me last night,
I probably wouldn't have recovered as well as I have.
Last night he fixed me the YUMMIEST chicken & corn egg drop soup.
It was the best he's ever made...and to think that he thought he messed it up.
It was THE BOMB!!!!
And of course, I got a nice long hug, too...
I swear, i can be such a baby.
Ever since I've been with him, I'm all about affection, man.
Sometimes he thinks I'm crazy, but whatever!
I need my daily dose of hugs and kisses. It's kinda like food and air for me.
Nevertheless, the hugs helped me feel better last night,
'cause WWII was still happenin' on my system.
It was all I needed to keep me from pouring on the whining....
and, yes, I can do that REAL well! poor bf.
(oh and he just called to say he's coming home....yay!!! music to my ears)
hmm...I wonder what we're eating tonight?
Then again, I still don't have a big appetite.
Although i did last night at midnight. I was really craving some
authentic Mexican tacos (not the squishy taco bell beef kind).
But since that probably would've been bad for my system at the time,
I just settled on some more uncooked ramen noodles.
Hmm...that probably wasn't good for my system either, but
at least it wasn't the squishy, diahrea-looking taco bell beef taco stuff. ick!
(isn't it nice to be able to ramble on about practically nothing?! I love blogging!
