lucky charm
after prepping myself up in my grey business suit,
brown blouse and makeup, I decided to put on a different finishing touch
to my job interview outfit...
instead of the typical silver necklace I got from the Limited, I decided to put on
the x-mas gift my brother got me a few years ago.
It's one of those chips of wood with alibata wood-burned into it, which hangs from a black string.
My sweet brother had "best friend' translated in alibata on mine.
I don't know what compelled me to pick this to hang around my neck today.
I don't wear it very often...I actually don't wear much jewelry to begin with.
In fact, it just came to mind moments before I finished dressing up.
but it felt really comforting for some reason knowing that I had it with me.
today in particular it seemed appropriate. especially since my first interview
for the day was my second interview with this employer. I needed all the luck I could get.
and you know what? I think it worked. Tomorrow morning I will be discussing my start date with them!!!!
(thanks to my "brudder")
well, there's still a few details to work out, and I haven't gotten
an official offer letter yet, so I'm still holding in my excitement.
I'll believe that I have the job once I get the offer letter.
and the other great thing about today....
I found out that I don't have to take my massage permit test again!!!!
My employer at the spa was able to get the exemption we needed (and deserve),
so hopefully by tomorrow, I will receive my official shift schedule
at the spa.
*sigh*
I'm soo thankful, but still careful of not putting all my eggs in one basket.
Just in case, I'm going to keep my interview with this other job in a school in the city.
I hope tomorrow is just as lucky as today.
(a million fingers crossed for me, pretty please)
