1:08p

and the beat goes on
so now that my head cold is pretty much over,
I developed a nice runny nose thing last night
and woke up with a phlegmy throat.
Then, when I tried to cough it out...guess what? MY THROAT HURT..like deep in my throat.

ahh...viruses. 'gotta love 'em.

looks like I'm not out of the woods yet.
and it doesn't really help that my bf keeps bringin' home these
new strains from the outside world.
I guess that's what I get for bein' home all the time.

amidst the nose blowing, I looked for more jobs on-line last night
and applied to quite a few of them, too.
'even sent one off with my bf to fax from his office.
stayed up til 3am, though.
my eyes were sore already.

this morning i called back my temp. agency and they told me about the
assignment that was open to me.
it's an admin position that pays pretty well per hour and...the best part....
it's only a 5-10 min. drive from my house. yay!
and, they are looking to hire someone long term, intead of temporarily, so
if it all works out, I could have a job.
the temp agency faxed them my resume this morning,
so the employer will review it first to see if i meet all the qualifications.

only thing is, I'd be working for something completely irrelevant to what
my interests are. I'd be working in the PR dept. of a salt company.
Then again, I thought: at this point in my financial status, I really have no room to be picky.
And besides, it would still leave my evenings open to work at the spa...whenever the hell they freakin' open!
And with a full-time salary at this salt company, I would be able to pay for the stuff I need to live on
and the money I make from the spa can be what I put in my savings.

Also, I still have the opportunity to continue looking for a more
suitable job while I'm making money to survive at this salt company.
boy, I hope everything works out.

***** Just in *****
so I decided to call for an update from my spa employer and halleluah! they finally got their business permit!!!!
so what that means is that now I can get my damn massage permit to practice there.
only thing is, i still dunno if i have to take the permit test again.
they haven't had time to get an exemption for us, since the HR person has been away on a training in the east coast.
I'm crossing my fingers that I won't have to take it...but I'm gonna study again for it, just in case.
I need the review anyways.

all I can say now is...I really hope I get that job at the salt company!
'cause even with the spa getting their business permit, they're not
ready to give out full on shifts.
instead, everyone will be on-call until they fine tune this scheduling software they developed.
shoot, we probably won't even have another orientation again until 2-3 weeks.
there's essentially still more phases to go through with this new gig.
so, I basically couldn't rely on it for steady income for now.

like I said, I really hope I get that job at the salt company! *fingers crossed*

for now, I'm too hungry to think. gonna go fix me some lunch.
